Plastic in. Diesel back.
PyroLife is a cleanup initiative for the rivers that carry the most plastic, mainly in Asia. People and waste companies bring plastic to a licensed machine. The payment is diesel.
A share of that diesel stays with the machine, so the running cost stays low. The rest is the reward for the plastic. Waste from the machine is serviced and taken away. No machine is sited yet.
Where
Malaysia and Indonesia first. India is a candidate. Large plastic storages in Scandinavia, and a few other places, are a second job: measure them, then calculate whether a machine pays.
Not a paid cleanup crew
The point is that locals do the gathering, because the diesel is theirs. PyroLife is not The Ocean Cleanup and is not affiliated with it.
